Haters
It's amazing how people really love to hate, especially when these people go to certain extents to keep on hating. Starting anything on the internet has its risks because people can say whatever they want with it basically being anonymous.
When creating a YouTube channel for YankeeBaseBlog, I had already experienced people calling me names on my other channels telling me things that would lower my self esteem. To be honest, I made the channel thinking that no one would come to see it. It's been a surprise to know that I am known now more for my YankeeBaseBlog channel than my other two channels combined. Of course I'm not famous or anything, but as of today I have 39 subscribers.
Everyone on YouTube wants to become famous, well most people. And you always want your videos to get views and for people to comment. It just so happens that the real first time one of my videos actually got attention, 99.9% of the comments were all hateful. Over 100 comments rained in while it was up for less than a day. And I get why people were mad about what I said in the video, (I was saying that Jose Bautista was a dbag for threatening a rookie pitcher), but all these people took it way too far. Basically the comments were all about my looks, weight, etc. People called me fat, ugly, pig, cunt, twat. Most of them told me to go kill myself, or drown my self in the Hudson River with cinder blocks on my feet. Yep, it got really bad. Then some people had the nerve to keep going and message me, write on my channel wall, and even go on my formspring, which is posted in this blog, so you know that many came here too. I just don't get why they had to keep going over one thing I said. I get if you're a big fan of a team (as I am) but you have to understand that everyone has different opinions and to talk shit about them when you've never even MET them before is totally going too far.
I know I haven't posted in a while, but this needed to be said.

Current Yankee Moves of the Off-Season
Well the off-season is almost done, but there may be some more big signings (actually not really) or just some surprising little ones.
The New York Yankees were not in big stories this off-season. Usually the Bombers are in the bidding of almost every single free agent. This was not the case this off-season, for the Yanks did not bid on any of the top free agents, like Matt Holliday, Jason Bay, and John Lackey. Those players of course went to places where Yankee fans wouldn't be so thrilled of (Cardinals, Mets, and Red Sox).
The Yankees did get a few guys, such as OF Curtis Granderson, SP Javier Vazquez, and 1B/DH Nick Johnson. To receive those guys and others, some people who they got rid of were Brian Bruney (in a trade with the Nationals to get OF Jamie Hoffman in the Rule 5 Draft); Austin Jackson, Phil Coke, and Ian Kennedy (in a three-team trade with Arizona and Detroit to get Granderson); and Melky Cabrera, Mike Dunn, and Arodys Vizcaino (for Javier Vazquez and relief pitcher Boone Logan).
The most surprising thing though was the fact that the Yankees did not bring back Hideki Matsui or Johnny Damon (as of yet). During the season everyone was speculating that the Yankees would keep at least one of the two, and so far that's not looking like the case.
The Yankees still need a left fielder, and Brett Gardner is not good enough yet to play there. I think the Yankees would be smart to resign Johnny Damon, and not settle for an average left-fielder if they want to repeat a World Series title.
It would be smart, but then again, its only my opinion.
